Comprehensive admissions counseling services to students and their families worldwide seeks candidates to be an Executive Assistant. The company provides a personalized counseling for a global clientele seeking admission to the most selective nursery, secondary, post-secondary, graduate and professional schools.
This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience with counseling, college admissions and marketing. You will work closely with the company staff on marketing, sales and research projects to promote the company's core functions.
The Office Manager/Executive Assistant is responsible for all introductory client communications, appointment scheduling, and billing, as well as general office management. As the principal point of contact for all potential and new clients, the Executive Assistant is the face of the company. This position reports directly to the Founder & CEO.
Manage student intake and acquisition
Provide details on the company services and programs to prospective families
Coordinate the company calendar, including scheduling appointments for Founder & CEO
Plan travel itineraries for Founder & CEO and other staff members
Handle receptionist duties, including managing phone lines and e-mails
Bill clients; monitoring the accounts receivables and accounts payables
Track and order office inventory
Keep abreast of college admissions news and updates
Assist in company’s marketing and sales operations
Manage office interns
Handle tech issues with the tech team
Candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the natural inclination to think creatively and work independently. Prior experience in education, or working as an assistant, office manager, customer service or in sales is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree required
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment;
Have the ability to multitask, set priorities and take initiative
Perform Internet-based research
Have experience with the selective college admissions process
Have experience entering information into a database
Possess an entrepreneurial and “can-do” attitude
Exercise discretion and protect the confidentiality of candidates
Have the ability to lead while being part of a team
Confidence, a motivated spirit, resourcefulness, accountability, and a high degree of integrity and ethics
