Dear Jeunes Francophiles,
As the PR Coordinator for Agora Gallery, I would like to invite you to our upcoming exhibition featuring French artists Michelle Coffey and Yassine Latoundji.
Michelle Coffey and Yassine Latoundji's artwork will be displayed in The Collective Exhibition: Contemporary Art at its Best from June 10 - July 1, 2006 in Agora Gallery's SoHo location at 415 W. Broadway. Reception will be held Thursday June 15, 6-8 PM. Admittance is open to the public and free of charge.
Born and educated in Paris, Michelle Coffey cites her cultural background and exposure to the French countryside as a lasting influence in her work. Indeed, Coffey's paintings offer a jewel-like reflection of some of the world's most beautiful scenes, which she renders intensely colorful and softly dynamic.
Yassine Latoundji studied art and painting in France and currently lives and works in Paris. He is fascinated with the sculptural beauty of the human form. His portraits are full of light and shadow; he captures a fleeting expression on his subject’s face that grants the viewer insight into the subject’s inner emotions.
I would appreciate it if the exhibition announcement can be posted on your website, news board, or other information listings, or if you can let me know whom I should contact regarding this request.
As time is of the essence, I would appreciate your reply as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.
