Please join me and my friend Gulnara for the film MONGOL: The Untold Story of Genghis Khan, at 7pm on Saturday, June 14th. The film is playing at the Lincoln Plaza Cinema.
John.
This Academy Award nominated feature from Kazakhstan is about Genghis Khan, a figure from the 12th Century who conquered much of Asia. While this movie is an grand epic with sweeping landscapes and intense battle scenes, it also includes romantic, spiritual and cultural themes. It is an international production featuring Russian director Sergei Bodrov and celebrated Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano as Genghis Khan. For more about the movie, see: www.mongol.com
The running time of the film is roughly two hours, so you will have time to make it to any parties in Manhattan after 9pm. A group of us may also go out for a drink or a quick bite after the movie. Feel free to invite your friends. We look forward to seeing you then!
